Wishing On The Same Star

I’ve been listening to the song “Wishing on the same Star” by Myra. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not the typical person who listens to too sentimental songs. It’s just that I have been hearing the song from my sister for the past how many days now and i wanted to get the song out of my system already. Just imagine how the song bugs my sleep. It is ridiculous! For this week, the song has been my alarm clock. Yes, it wakes me up almost everyday! I hear it morning (it wakes me up) and evening(before i sleep). I guess I have finally added this song to my annoying list of music.

Anyway, even though the song irritates me, i started to think of its lyrics. Believe it or not, i was baffled in a sense that i began to think that love can be very complicated, when truth is.. love should be very simple.

My thoughts were concentrated on the lyrics of the song and the stories that I have been hearing from people.

So, how can a person hope so much when he or she has chosen the path of separation to the one he or she loves? I believe it is an odd reality. I certainly believe that when a person decides with regards to the path he or she should take, he or she should have a strong grip. There is no turning back, especially if the situation calls for it. Meaning, if things have turned too complicated that it would require a person’s dignity and one word.

If one decides “something” then he or she should have a stand for it. I believe it is not pride, instead it is called ” doing and deciding what is best”.

So, what is hoping when there is already a boundary or a decision that separates you from the person you love because one says so? I guess.. that hoping would be an act of stupidity.

Basically, not to be so brutally honest, Letting go is the best solution. Stop dreaming. Stop Hoping. Just Let go and stop holding on; Especially, if one has already let go or if the situation calls for it…
